The sun was shining through the trees as we walked down the cobbled streets towards the stables. We were warmly greeted by the owner Kirsty and shown our beautiful mounts. These were two very fine horses and not at all your usual 'riding school plods'. We went on a lovely ride through the famous 'Rotten Row' and had a lovely canter 'up the mile'. The Nye family have run the stables for many years and there is definate family feel, especially as Kirsty, Ross Nye's daughter now runs the stables. After the ride we went for a lovely drink in the local pub. It was a joyous day. The only sorrow is that it ended so quickly. I would highly recommend going for a ride. Make sure you book your ride in advance to avoid disappoinment.
