Been going there once a month or so for a while. Good food, but very expensive and staff can be quite officious. Can wait a long time for food. Last time was charged £7.00 for 2 lime & soda's. Even when queried they say "So" soda is expensive as beer sir!

I visited this restaurant at a peak time of 8 pm on a Saturday with four friends. The restaurant was busy and its good that I had booked as its quite small. Other reviews had given it very mixed results. There are many common factors though , the food is freshly cooked and the owner is a bit mad ( looks a bit like Borat! ) and you have a long wait for your food. We certainly had a long wait, about one and a half hours! That seemed to me more because almost every minute a takeaway was on its way out for delivery. We were joined later by three more friends who also had a one hour wait for their food even though it was 10 pm when they arrived. In all probability at a less busy time the wait for the food to be cooked will be much less. Now the food! This produced some mixed reactions from my six friends. Some dishes were very good but others were less so. Certainly they were freshly perpared but the wait was annoying for some of my friends. Generally the food is quite good and the staff are very helpful and keen to please. The decor is bright and quite nice with some slightly odd artifacts like a picture of Diana? On a Saturday night its always full and very noisy and lively. Certainly many find the wait for the food well worth it! Just arrange your timing to take that into account at busy times. Tony

This place does one of the best curries in London. When i first moved into the area I noticed it at the end of the road and thought it didn't look up to much, however gave it a whirl and was pleasently surprised. They must have the longest names for some of their dishes than any other restaurant such as the Chicke Tikka Jalfrezi Balti which whilst it sounds like it might be a bit of hotch potch is actually a really good dish and the flavbours compliment each other perfectly. Having lived nearby for for years I have rarely used any other Indain reataurant for take-away. The owner Abdul is a very nice man who always remembers something about his customers usually their 'Lovely Ladies' but is nevertheless endearing. Obviously if you see the restaurant now it is decked out in newspaper clippings from 'the Sun' of the pop group 'The Darkness'. This is because last year 'The Sun' reported that this was 'The Darkness's' favourite restaurant and they had flown out the chef from 'The Red Rose' to their U.S. tour to make their favourite curries. Now every menu you get is as recommended by The Darkness. I;m not really into the Darkness but I can't fault their taste in curry.
