    Narrow seating makes it hard to socialise with everyone in your party but staff are very good.

    Make sure you get there early to get the sofas. Nice n friendly waitresses. If you smoke and struggle to find a light, use one of them candles lying around.

    Babushka can get very crowded sometimes, and other times its very empty, extremes. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. Not good for lunch. they do good potato wedges and nachos.

    The place has a cool atmosphere and good for a nice relaxing drink, the drinks are not too pricey either. The bar staff are friendly and the waitresses are pleasant. In all, a good bar to wine and dine in.

    Babushka is a regular spot for friday night drinking after work. The staff are friendly and the place has a good vibe. On the downside drinks are expensive and it is often very busy and smoky.......nice location though.

    I visited this bar/restaurant today with two friends. I had been twice before so was looking forward to taking my colleague who had not been before. Unfortunately the experience was so bad that I will not be going back again. Upon arrival we were greeted by a rather arrogant manager who informed us that because it was busy (Ie there was someone at every table) we would have to wait longer for food. Fine, so when we asked him how long it would take, he replied 'I dunno.' HE then dumped us in a section not normally brought food, and as a result, we had to hunt down our own menus and wave our hands i the air for 10 minutes before a waitress noticed us. When we finally managed to place an order, the waitress although very polite, did not know what I meant when I ordered a larger top. In fact she did not know what larger meant, but I kindly explained, and said i would like lemonade in it. Needless to say, when my larger arrived there was no lemonade it it. Nevermind, I appreciated a stronger tipple, as I had a feeling we would be waiting a long time until the food arrived. I predicted correctly. 55 minutes later, my bacon and potato salad arrived with no potatoes in it (I did not want to send it back as i was dying of hunger and late back to work by now) and no knife or fork. Even worse was my friends burger who had specifically asked for no blue cheese in her burger, was left to starve as her burger indeed came with blue cheese. When she called over the waitress, all she received was a statement of how stressful it had been for the waitress and how they had had lots of complints and everything going wrong. We were offered a refund on the burger, but no apology or alternative. My friend was going to leave hungry. Upon paying at the bar, I was faced by the manager. I would not normally complain, but I decided that the experience had been so bad and it was not really the fault of the waitresses - it was bad management and poor training. Regrettably the manager interrupted my talking to him, - despite the fact I was polite and not shouting like most would have been.....I do not think I have ever come across such arrogant in a bar manager who had zero customer service skills. He would not let me speak - just started arguing back - and that I was 'accsuing his staff' In fact I saw him being very rude to the waitresses. Unless that bar gets rid of him, that place will not still be in business this time next year.
