24 ST. Oswalds Place, Vauxhall City Farm is a working farm with friendly animals. Two thirds of the farm is an acre of derelict farm, but it was transformed in 1977 by volunteers to the success that it is today. Watch out for Bella the pig and Jacko the donkey as they are the favourites of the farm. There is also a small ecology area with a frog pond and a herb and dye garden. Admission is free.
I love this place, I try and go over there once a week or so to visit the animals. Great place to get away from it all for a bit. Worth a visit if your in the area.
This place is great. From the outside I didn't expect much, but once in there are loads of different animals, including pigs, ponies, rabbits, alpacas, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and ferets. Free entry too, so well worth a donation whilst there.
