  my husband and i went to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. the food is lovely, the atmosphere warm and friendly and the staff/ owner friendly and knowledgable. i would highly recommend this place for a very pleasant experience

• I like this place - would reccomend

  First of all it is important to understand what kind of restaurant la smorfia is. This is a small Italian authentic restaurant next to all the chain food restaurants like pizza express, la strada and so on.So here everything is handmade and well thought after, wiht reasonable prices.You will get a very personal service, the owner Beppe might serve you personally, starting with a free bruschetta.The pizza are great!!! The seafood pasta are marvelous, although it happened to me once that the shellfish was not as hot as supposed to be... (Did probably come from the freezer).Still I always return.I gave five stars to counterweight the three star reviews it got before, because I think they deserve better.

• Molto Crusty

  Very nice thin crust, a bit on the tough side though as my aching jaw would confess (I really need to see someone about that I think). Spartan toppings on the pizza, but of good quality. Pretty good overall I'd say. It may not be Arancina, but it definitely beats Pizza Hut or Domino's or any of that other nonsense Pizza places and it's one of the best around West Hampstead.

• Nice pizza

  Nice quiet atmosphere (although there weren't many people when we visited the place), tasty pizzas. Large selection of pizzas, take away available. Prices are not expensive, though not cheap too (£8 for a pizza), but hey, you would expect to pay for a good taste and a big size. I wasn't able to finish my meal, so they packed it and I brought it back home :)
