About Us

Brief description

The St Matthews building is run by a charitable company called ‘The Brix at St Matthews’. This is a non-profit making organisation whose purpose is to preserve the building for posterity, for the benefit of the local community. The role of The Brix is therefore to raise enough income to look after the fabric of the building and keep it open for wide community use.

The Brix has a large community hall available for rehearsals, auditions, classes / workshops, private functions and wider general community uses. The Hall has recently been refurbished and boasts disabled access, disabled toilets, a bar / kichenette area, a kitchen, storage spaces, a wooden floor and a feature mirrored wall.
