Delays and Incompetence

Stoneworks uk recently provided the stone work for our new bathroom at a cost of over �£20,000. We selected them as a provider over cheaper competitors as we believed we would receive a more professional job and a better service. However, the stone we paid for weeks in advance was apparently not available so we ended up having to choose a stone with yellow in it that was not what we wanted. In addition they delayed the whole project by several weeks by repeatedly cancelling appointments to come and make templates, not then taking their templates back to cut and by doing the installation work in stages. This meant that we had an incomplete bathroom for over a month from the first day of stone fitting. Finally their fitter spent the entire time complaining about Stoneworks as an employer and talking about how he was going to leave soon. This is a great shame as the 'mirroring effect' of laying stone as if showing a reflection is very pretty and this they did well. However they are overall too unreliable to recommend especially given the prices they charge.
