• Understated, Simple, and Delicious Food

  My Colleauges and I were invited out by the Boss, and we always wonder with Baited breath, just on where we are going to get taken, it turns out we were off to IL Siciliano, As I enter the place, we were greated by a well groomed Italian gentlemen, who sort of would fit quite well into the set of Goodfella's. We are Seated in the most simple of seats, the place looked like it had been the same since the fortys.We order drinks, and then examine the hand written, photo copied menu, at this point I felt this was a bad choice, but then the Big However came...I ordered a Lentil Soup (£5.00) for a starter, followed by medallions of fillet steak (£14.50), then cheese board for desert (£4.50). The Lentil Soup, was spicy with freshly chopped chillies, it was amazing, the Steak was cooked to perfection, and the plate was filled with two large pieces, and accompanied with (extras) a selection of vegatables, including panfried Spiniach, and Sauted potatoes.For the quality of the food, which was frankly speaking excellent, the was super super value.My colleague next to me had a chicken dish, which was a generous helping, my other colleagues had veal liver, which got a big thumbs up, and the rest chose steak. First impressions this place was going to be a dissapointment, at the end of the meal I left wanting to go back, and sink my teath, into more of that delicious fabulous Steak, incredible..
