MALAYSIAN restaurant Puji Puji boasts some unique wall-mounted modern art - but even with this nod to the 21st century, visitors will feel closer to Kuala Lumpur than a busy high road close to Highbury Corner.
With no previous experience of the country's cuisine, we were in the hands of what proved to be a polite and efficient staff and their recommendations. And a mixed platter of satay, which included vegetables, chicken, beef and prawns accompanied by a peanut sauce to die for, made for an excellent introduction.
A selection of different dishes arrived for the main course. The food was fresh, vibrant and delicious and was eaten as quickly as it came out - steamed aubergine, stir-fried with chillies onion and garlic, and chicken cooked in soya sauce gave a small glimpse into the variety of dishes on offer.
