I went there with my wife last week as we just moved in near by. I had a 4 cheese pizza and my wife had seafood risotto, for a desert we shared a panacotta. really really good food (one of the if not the best we had) Nice music and really friendly people will be back for sure
Really good food,I really enjoy Chef recommadation.I will back soon.
I too use to have a favourite pizza place in london, this was in the shoreditch area. But once I've tried Tomo there was no going back. The pizza is so well prepared, with that traditional italian very thin crust. I STRONGLY recomend the vegetarian calzone and the Salmon pizza, they are awesome.
Today I eat with my fiancee in TOMO RESTAURANT - 88, HighStreet - Hornsey - London - N8 7NU - the place was lovely, the service great and the food Simple divine - I had pasta - Gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese and parmigiano and a lovely tiramisu for dessert - my man had the fusilli with sausages and courgette - we both were pleased about the taste, look and portion received.the place was clean and cozy and lovely - they got plenty of tables - the floor and the architecture around make me feel at home (I am italian), the girl who works there was so lovely and helpful, the chef is brilliant and the pizzaman was making pizza in the front of us ... I didn't have pizza this time but I am sure I will next time - Even if they are not italian but polish (and I am italian) they were able to provide a meal and all the details as an italian will... wish all of them the best - and well done. It is the right place to go for a meal for anybody ... families, couple, with your mates or even by yourself

I went for a bite to eat at Tomo this evening - not the first time I must say, but there's something about the place that keeps luring me back.I personally believe it's one of the best kept secrets in North London - and I think it's about to get even better -this week they seem to have put more tables and chairs in there than before ( a good thing because it can get very popular in there) Now it seems much more cosy with the improved seating, meaning there's less chance of queueing up outside on a busy night esp. in these sub-zero weather conditions we've had lately...I also think the piano looks good in there -now how's about a pianist?Great food as ever - tonight I delighted over POLPETTE di POLLO (Spaghetti with chicken meatballs)-highly recommended - with the light, herbal aromas being the key.-Gyorgy
really top restaurant - we've eaten there at least 10 times and its always been top notch and for a very reasonable price. lovely service too. all good!
My friend and I were very happy tonight after our first time at Tomo restaurant. My dish - a perfect gnocchi with meat sauce was just right - as too was the 'pizza de la chef'. My friend and I shared in the end - because it was just that kind of experience that you will like to share - and it left us wanting to try more. Maybe it's just me but they always seem to be very busy in there...I give it all 5 stars because it is my first time and I am pretty sure it's a 5 star place, though will def. return to give a 'second opinion' here on Trusted Places. As my conclusion I would say its really great food, lovely customer service - and warm homely atmosphere.
Have to say i disagree with the last few reviews of this restaurant. maybe i was just unlucky in that they were having an off night, but my experience was far from perfect! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terrible. The food wasreally nice, there was a huge choice on the menu too. It also was reasonably priced. So why just three starts when everyone else has given it five? For me, on the night i went, the service stank big time. There was no friendly welcome, no smiling staff, in fact i felt as though i was an inconvenience to them! I will give them another try though as the food was good. If they are better, i'll come back and amend my review!

All I want to say about Tomo, is WOW! I loved it in all ways possible. The staff are really nice (especially the brunette!) they are more than happy to help you choose and make recommendations. The range of food is very wide and diverse and I’m sure you’ll find it difficult to make your choice! They are also fantastic for families so don’t be frightened about taking your toddler! There were lots in there when we went, all tucking in so the food must be good! It is of course, the quality is excellent and you get a huge plateful! Definitely a place you must visit!
