• Wonderful!

  We used CDPOM for the first time recently. We were to be away for 2 weeks and historically had used a (very nice) boarding kennel near us - but the cats tended not to eat much while there (no fault of the facility, we think they just didn't like being cooped up at the cattery) and lost a lot of weight and we wanted to look into options. Came across CDPOM and it seemed the most professional of those we found. Madelaine met with us and the cats, took loads of notes, emailed us a schedule incorporating her notes, etc. Clearly a first class operation. And Mad clearly loves animals - you could just tell by the way she approached them that this wasn't something she did just as a job, she really loves it. I was slightly nervous about leaving the cats at home and going off for two weeks on the assumption they would be looked after (rather than at least knowing we'd dropped them off at the cattery), but a text from Madelaine came in right before we boarded our flight and that put my mind at rest. Upon returning home we found both cats to be happy, healthy and not skinny. The daily log sheets we were left were fun to read through and the pint of milk in the fridge was a welcome and thoughtful gesture. Cost-wise, we had them visit 2x each day which did cost more than the cattery would have. However, 1x each day would have been significantly less than the cattery, and with the bonus of knowing someone will be going into your home each day. From a peace-of-mind and security perspective, this was great. We will use them again, without question, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The only one suggestion I have is if you have any questions, phoning is better than emailing...I think because they are out and about looking after our little ones they do not always get a chance to check email and respond as quickly as they can with a quick call.

• These guys are fantastic.

  These guys are fantastic. Our pets are our children and I would rather the team from CDPOM look after them than most members of my own family. Just watching them with our animals told us everything we needed to know about them... Our dog is the most anti-social creature around, and she goes straight to Mad and Louise!
