Since I am like to live nearby I visit Everest Inn quite frequently and I have never been disappointed once, in fact it is my favourite Indian restaurant in London. The staff are always extremely polite and ready to accommodate our needs and the food is split between usual curryhouse dishes (they do a very good Tikka masala and korma) and Nepalese specialties. Since they have a tandoor oven some of the best dishes are the ones cooked in it, such as the Tandoori Prawns which melt in the mouth (you don't even need a knife to cut them, they're so tender you can part them witha fork!) and the Peshwari naan breads are some of the best we've had.

This is a rare example of South Indian & Sri Lankan cuisine, rather than the usual North Indian / Anglocised Indian food available on every high street. The restaurant itself is more a simple cafe, with limited tables and a food counter, where you can view a lot of the dishes and starters. Take-away seems a popular choice, especially at lunch times. My favourites are Masala Dosai (a HUGE pancake filled with a spicy potato mixture) and Idli Sambar (rice cakes and lentil sauce). With the Dosai make sure they don't fold it, as it is not as crispy or as large looking. Great choice for a quick, authentic lunch - too basic interior for a night out.
