Any Specialist Products or Services?Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Sean Jeffrey (MMus BA Hons) has established himself as one of the most versatile musicians working in the music industry today. Having had over 20 years of experience, working as a singer, vocal coach, pianist, keyboard player and composer, Sean is equally at home in both classical, cross-over and music theatre. He has worked alongside such artists as G4, Willard White, Emma Kirkby, Sir Paul McCartney, Barbara Bonney, Sarah Brightman and Michael Ball. He has worked musically on productions including 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat', 'The Woman in White' and tours of 'Rave On!' and 'Bugsy Malone'. Most recently he has worked on Nicholas Hytner's Olivier Award winning production of 'Rafta, Rafta' at the National Theatre, and was Musical Director for the 'The Rat Pack' tour. Such varied experience sets him apart from others, in that, as well as being a trained opera singer, he is able to work in all styles.
I went to Sean for an initial consultation several months ago. I had been to other singing teachers in the past, but they either confused me, contradicted each other, or generally did not seem to know what they were doing! Sean was completely different. He explains, in a very clear and concise way how the voice works, how to improve it with immediate effect, and how to progress forwards. After many years of confusion at the hands of other teachers, Sean has, in just a few lessons, taught me more than I have ever thought possible about my singing voice. He has removed all the confusion and mystique that other teachers seem to surround the concept of 'How to Sing' with, and has now got me into my first leading West End role. Not only is he a great voice teacher, but he is also a consummate musician and a great pianist, who seems able, at the drop of a hat, to be able to change styles. He swaps from rock, to opera, to musical theatre, to pop with complete ease. He is, without doubt, quite brilliant and I thoroughly recommend him!
