This was the worst kosher restaurant we have ever been to & we never got to eat anything as we walked out minutes after the owner starting insulting us. All fish options & most of the regular meat options where not available all but the well presented EXPENSIVE beef alternatives had been offered to us & when we questioned the limited menu we were made to feel like we are being cheap. The owner accused us of being arrogant & was rude enough to comment we should go elsewhere, my pregnant wife was disgusted by the owners attitude considering our party of four where the only customers in the restaurant. A restaurant that chooses for their customers what they can eat & charges them inflated prices without any shame should not be in business. From one kosher eater to another - STAY AWAY, there are many places to enjoy the atmosphere & menu.

  • 10 Simply fantastic

Armando is one of the best kosher restaurant i've ever experienced, the food is so immaculately fresh, althogh some dishes where not available on the menu thats understandable considering i've heard, this restaurant is after the freshest daily produce available and everything is done on the spot..that explains the time worth waiting for, it also provides a few daily specials. The place looks defenately clean, i could even see all the way into the kitchen thanks to a large open window. Allthough its Golders Green Road the atmosphere is trendy with a posh feel to it and after paying just 25 pounds average a person for a delicious sushi appetiser, a half kilo juicy rib steak so tender and perfectly cooked and a drink i consider that good value for my money. I'll certainly be back!!

Went there for a night out with the family and was very impressed. Great food, great atmosphere, great value, very friendly and by far the best sushi I have had in a while. Will definitely go back!

Being a bit of a sushi fan I can honestly say that Armando takes sushi to a new level of excellence. We had fantastic sushi for starters, followed by an 850 gram steak. The resteraunt is classy with a quick and efficient friendly European service. The manager and other waiting staff were very helpful and gave personal attention to every customer. I would most certainly recommend Armando as the eprfect venue for a business dinner or a nice night out.

  • 2 Worst service ever

The restaurant looks nice enough - quite small and intimate, modern decor. The staff, with the exception of the overweight sweaty owner, are like moody teenagers, acting as though they are doing you a favour. The hygiene is questionable as we saw the sushi chef use his mobile phone with his cooking gloves on.The menu itself looks good, although on the night we dined there, nearly half the menu was unavailable (told to us in no apologetic way whatsoever). The sushi was good, although none of the meat sushi was available, so this is only based on the vegetarian ones. The steak ordered arrived a good few minutes before the condiments and chips etc, but tasted great. The chicken was black and burnt on the outside and slightly raw in the middle, but the owner was adamant it was just 'grilled' on the outside and the 'bones' on the inside and also stated 'there is nothing else' to be served instead. So if you like rude service, burnt and uncooked food, you know where to go!

  • 2 expensive and bad food

worst food and service and too expensive, 4.50 on one hand role if u eat somewhere else it costs max of 1 80. he told me kosher thats why it is expensive, he said kosher food is expensive, well i can tell him there alot of other good sushi restauants which are kosher which are good and he doesnt have to tell me kosher is differnet from other restauants. it took 15 mins to make a hand role which doesnt look like one and charge for takeway that expensive! IM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN food is old are rubbish and well expensive. i no a couple of other better kosher sushi restauants such as kyoto in hendon which isnt as expensive and cleaner and nicer food, there is no service in armando just a person making the sushi and the manger. there are no waiters no service to the people. im tell people to be aware of bad food and bad service
