  Just off Brixton this is an excellent local greengrocers. Run by an chatty greengrocer with an excellent knowledge of what's fresh and good he's happy to share -- there is often stuff that might not look supermarket shiny but tastes great. A good organic selection, too + eggs + flowers.

  There will always a friendly greeting when you walk through the door from the husband and wife team of Lawrence and Julie, both ardent Arsenal supporter. He will instantly guide you to what is freshest and sweetest whilst keeping up a 100mph banter and whilst Julie skilfully arrange a wonderful bouquet of fine flowers which would surely make up for any misdemenor you may have perpertrated. There is a good organic selection as well as fresh eggs and salt cod. Nothing is pre-packed and clingfilmed, just real fruit 'n veg - I bring up a healthy family on the stuff!
