In 1782 John Newbery, an itinerant weaver from Berkshire, established himself in Marylebone, London, making furnishing trimmings for the theatre and nobility. Since then, five generations of the family have built a tradition of creating the finest passementerie. Today, it embraces new styles and techniques to produce uniquely beautiful trimmings, which adorn fine public and private interiors throughout the world.
