Camden Underground station is a very busy underground station. It almost seems popular, but really is more because of its location and people that use it.Just being outside the city of London is one reason and having facilities in Camden on and the High Street and other roads, along with the markets, mean that people flock to this area. This is also a place where many students live and people from all around the world who may be staying in the surrounding area. With Camden then being a major junction and because it branches off into two sections going north to High Barnet and the other to Edgware, means there are two tracks going north and two going south. You can enter the station from two sides, one on the Camden High Street side and the other on the Kentish Town Road. Barriers for entering and leaving are usually available on both side for most days and staff are always on hand to help and when they get busy.On the Kentish Town Road side entrance are several tickets and oyster top up machines and a ticket counter.*Note though: On a Sunday between 1pm and 5pm there is no entering Camden tube station to get a train and you are only allowed to exit from here. This is because it gets very busy with people coming to the markets. One of the next stations you could use if this happens is Mornington Crescent at the other end of Camden High Street. Also, when they get very busy as well, they make the escalators go up only and to get down you have to use the stairs.
