The Hard Rock Cafe serves light meals as well as a selection of sandwiches, snacks and beverages. The cafe also features the Hard Rock memorabilia collection of merchandise from legendary British and International artists as well as many local artists. This is the original theme restaurant - in this case rock 'n' roll. The Hard Rock Cafe is a global chain serving American style food and the queues to get in are legendary. People - and in particular tourists - go for the atmosphere and the reputation. This restaurant can cater for private parties of up to 300 guests upon request and seating on the pavement area is provided, weather permitting.
Like Planet Hollywood it is very pricey, needs booking in advance as it's impossible to just turn out. You'll probably only want to come here once in a blue moon but it's worth the visit.
I have only eaten here the once and probably wont eat there again as to me it is too expensive and the wait to be seated is unbelievable!I will admit that the food portions were relatively big and tasted pretty good but the prices are just too much. I would only recommend going there as a treat or if you can afford their prices. You definitely need to pre-book your table as when I went there they gave us this little control thing that beeps when it is your turn but we waited for nearly two hours!Oh they also have a little shop/museum thing next door.

The food served at the Hard Rock is absolutley fantastic and the service is second to none. There are some lond queuesand the restaurant is often very busy due to some tourists even though the majority of them are in the shop next doors. There are lots of plasma screens runningmusic videos all day . However it must be said that the prices for the food are a little bit dear but for the quality food it is definatley worth it! Like many other restaurants when it busy you get told to wait at the bar then they wall call your paiger i got told that i would have to wait up to 20 minutes but the pager beeped within 5.
The Hard Rock Cafe is another great restaurant that you just have to eat at if you are ever in London. A little expensive but they offer a wide selection of food ranging from hearty meal to snacks and sandwiches. There's some great drinks on offer, especially their cocktails, and you even get the chance to take home one of their signature cups if you don't mind paying a little extra with certain drinks. It's a great place to visit, especially if you are out celebrating with friends and family. Be warned though...book in advance as waiting times can stretch for hours! Move next whilst waiting and you'll be able to visit their shop which includes a rock memorabilia museum!

Nothing like a bit of controversy but...why would I want to go to Hard Rock? Maybe, just maybe, with kids but why would I want to succumb to this 80's American cliche?Love to hear from others why I should go back after so many years (when it was arguably fun and a novel experience).Yrs Mr Grumpy

great place!average price for a main course is around £10, not cheap, but very good quality and worth it.good atmospherefriendly staff
Why should this be a place for tourists only? The Hard Rock Cafe is a great pub, a little crowded sometimes, but what you get is good indeed! The food is really good, perfectly served, and the setting is great! If you love music you will find plenty. The music videos run continuously, and the volume is perfect: enough to listen to the music, but not enough to block the conversations. The people inside have always a smile for everyone, and they are very careful with the customers. It's nice to feel yourself cuddled! Not the cheapest pub in town... but you get a lot!
