About Us

Film Images (London) was established in 1989 as a comprehensive film and video resource for organisations requiring clips and stock shots for all kinds of productions. We manage collections from a wide variety of sources worldwide. Material from small collectors, government organisations, individual cinematographers, commercial film libraries, etc, are all easily accessible through Film Images. Some of the highlights of our collections are: Historic Films from the USA, specialising in rare music footage, especially country, blues and rock; the COI Footage File, the British Government's collection covering all forms of official "propaganda" and public information from 1939 to the present day, and growing; Lobster Films from France, made up of more than 12,000 hours of moving images including feature films, silent films, newsreels, cartoons, ephemeral films, documentaries, etc. Much of Lobster''s material has been lovingly restored to pristine condition. All our material is available on viewing tapes and is fully searchable on our on-line database.
