I went to the Tate Modern the other day and had booked tickets to see the Mark Rothko exhibition which was recently opened. From walking up towards the utterly imposing tower and into the cavernous turbine hall you know that you're not going to be disappointed. I knew some of Rothko's work from calendars and images but it was amazing to see some of his huge canvases in real life. I'd recommend hiring one of the PDA's with audio commentary as you gain a great insight as to the works and the artist himself. A very impressive show!!

Definitely the best museum in London. A lot of amazing temporary exhibitions, presented in a way novices and experts can both enjoy. Don't miss the Duschamps - Man Ray - Picabia exhibition. The Tate Modern, which already owna a fine collection of those artists, created a great atmosfere around each artist's universe. Make sure you're part of it !
