  • Bleeding Heart Not hugely impressed!

I've heard great things about this place and thought I'd give it a go. It's not cheap here so you do expect a little bit more than your standard pub fare. I came here for a steak which you expect this kind of place to excel at. The steak arrived and was pretty small and the meal in general was pretty much bog standard. Next time I think I'll try the steak at the weatherpoon's across the road for half the price.

  • Bleeding Heart Nice food but cramped

I enjoyed the food but I found the tables very close together; ok if you like listening to other peoples conversations. Not so good for privacy.

  • Bleeding Heart French food heaven

Nice food and atmoshere. If you come more than once they recognise you and treat you really well! They also have 3 restaurants surronding the yard and I will definately try it one evening. Some one was murdered here yonks ago and there is a leaflet explaining the romantic history as you eat the raw bleeding beef.

  • Bleeding Heart Great food

The upstairs pub is a bit cramped and the tables are small, but still a nice place for a drink, especially if you want to be able to chat. The restaraunt downstairs is very nice and the food is great. The service is pretty good too.

The business says...Bleeding Heart is located just off the main thoroughfare in a quiet cobbled courtyard. The main restaurant downstairs is decorated in the style of a library and serves a variety of opulent French cuisine. Upstairs is more of an informal surrounding serving traditional dishes from an A La Carte menu, all of which are complimented by an extensive wine list. Catering for private parties of up to 60 guests is available upon request and seating on the terrace area is provided, weather permitting.
