Step inside one of Chez Gerard's classic restaurants and be instantly transported to a French brasserie of the 1930's, where sharing food and drink among friends is one of lifes simplest and greatest pleasures. With panelled booths and the stylish zinc bar, there is no mistaking the sights, sounds and tastes of France. This busy Parisian 1930's conservatory restaurant has a large terrace overlooking the bustling Covent Garden Piazza. Situated in the heart of Theatreland and next to some of the best shops in London, Chez Gerard At The Opera Terrace is famous for its steak-frites and award-winning French wines. Relax in the restaurant or grab a quick bite in the cafe.
I would qualifie it as the best in covent garden but the prices doesn't let me to do that.Is perfect for any special ocasion and the waitresses very friendly, the food is excellent, perfectly presented and the decoration lovely.
Here you’ll find a patisserie shop and restaurant downstairs. Upstairs, just in the middle Covent Garden piazza, are the restaurant and the lounge bar. Chez Gerard propose quality French meal. I prefer having a drink in the lounge bar instead of having dinner.
Located directly opposite The Royal Opera House this is a splendid airy restaurant which uses its balcony location to great advantage with daylight flooding through the copious glass walls and roofing of the terrace. This also extends to the Cafe Bar which claims to be the longest zinc bar in the UK and imported specially from Paris.
