City Shoes

City shoes also do shoe repair so I took my £85 shoes to be resoled. I chose the full sole option at £38, paid up front and then came back 5 days later to pick them up. On return they had no idea where the shoes were. They send the shoes away to be done so over the next week I kept chasing them up as they contacted their supplier all to no avail. Eventually I went to try and get my money back. They refunded me the resoling cost then begrudgingly gave me half-ish the cost of the original price of my shoes (£47) even though I demanded the full £85. Apparently they couldn't claim this on their insurance or back from their supplier (hmmm) so it's from their own pocket... I wouldn't recommend you ever go to this shop; there are plenty of other cobblers in this area, one just on Ludgate Hill, so I’ll be trying them next time. You shouldn't have to wonder whether you'll ever see your shoes again when you take them to be resoled!
