From my experience, don't join even if you are desparate for a job.

As a graduate from one the of most pretigious university in England, I joined Kolak Snack Foods in times of economic down turn. Although it was underpaid, I called myself lucky to find a job in an industry I always want to get into. There is no training whatsoever, most employees do not speak proper English. Within the first 6 months of my employment, at least 8 office works were fired. One of the senior managers constently shout at people and use foul languages. The office is filty-let alone the grease floor, there is no cleaner to clean the office. Beside, there is no window in the office. As a result, if one employee gets ill, everyone else would. And remember, it's a food company! During the warm summer days, if you put a dog in the office, RSPCA will not be happy. If you are prepared to work in a place where your managers will shout at you, working 50 hours a week and are prepared to be fired without following the legal procedures, this place will be perfect for you.
