Sharps Bedrooms

Sharps started with the "design consultant" all well so far but thats where the peace and tranquility ends. The "surveyor" pressured my partner who is suffering from depression into forging my signiture and refused to let him see the drawings until he had signed! He also made up an extra £600 charge for an additional wardrobe on the spot whilst talking to the designer on the phone for price guidance. The designer said to charge us an extra £150, my partner could hear all that was said by the designer on the other end of the phone, and the surveyor bumped this up to £600. Nice little comision if you can get it. When I complained about this this I had the area sales manager call me up to apologise and even though he said the charge was justified due to the extra work and materials he offered to take off the £600 as an incentive to not take this matter to the police! I had stripped and replastered the room it was going in and because I had been renovating my house for th epast year decided that it would be quicker and simpler to get this done by the company considering the surveyor to be the bad apple in what seemed to be otherwise a profeesional company to deal with. First bedroom was fitted with only minor problems I paid the requested monies and then waited for the second bedroom to arrive. This to had an increase due to an extra single wardrobe which I was happy to pay for due to the increase in work and materials. About a month after I had paid for the second bedroom I was issued a demand for outstanding monies of £648.45 which included the money that should have beeen written off due to the illegal tactics and as a "gesture of good will" Several phone calls later I had asked for a break down of prices to ensure the money I had asked for was justified in the first place as I am convinced they make their prices up on the spot. They sent through a wholey inaccurate brak down of what and why I had been charged and will noty issue a price list as this is "confidential information". Under the Price Marking Order 2004 all prices should be clear and unambigious. Well not with sharps their not. Afetr threat to take me to court they eventually agreed after me quoting several legislations they where breaking they would half the amount of money I owe them! I agreed to get them off my back. So I waited for them to complete the remedial works as the wardrobes are warped and the flimsy plastic is coming away from the head board. I waited a further two occasion for them to arrive and guess what I have not seem them yet. Dont buy through Sharps/Sharks you have been warned
