When we first met Olan he appeared to be friendly however once the order was taken this completely changed. He delivered the 2 fireplaces we had ordered but once he had left we realised that one part wasn't correct and both were missing the grates and ashpans so we couldn't actually use them. We had also asked and paid for, one to be cut down to size but it was so wonky we couldn't even insert it into the surround. I politely phoned up Olan and asked him if he could bring round the correct items and he said he would come on monday. I took the morning off work but he didn't turn up. I rung him but he denied making the arrangement and said that we've been so unreasonable from the start and he is sick of it! Then hangs up. I canceled the cheque as I was worried that we might be left with 2 redundant fireplaces. Flaberghasted we call back & explain that we will pay him once he has bought the missing parts round. He threatens legal action but eventually calms down and agrees to bring them round. After 3 mornings off work (as he keeps forgetting pieces) we eventually get everything. We have no idea what went wrong; there was no problem from our side, we didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary and we only rung him because he hadn't brought everything. Do not deal with this company - it is a nitemare.

The owner, Olan, was very helpful, coming around to view my fireplace on a Sunday, providing advice on the options for renovation and taking it away with him. I am very pleased with the results. He even let my dad borrow a bolster and cold chisle to knock a bigger opening for the fireplace. Very pleasant man.

I have been trying to get someone to come over and fix my gas fireplace for over 9 months. He shows up within 24hrs and was honest, intelligent and fun to do business with.

Do not under any circumstances deal with this man. He is insulting, impolite. I ordered a Custom made fire insert, in Oct 2004. 4 weeks later I went to collect it. He tried to pass off a standard unit, made in Aug 2004, When I queried the dimensions, he became agitated, insulting and impolite, So I took it home to check, and as expected it was entirely inappropriate, so I returned it for a full refund. Throughout, he attempted to imply , despite, his obsequious manner, that I was a troublesome customer , and that I was at fault. Dont ever deal with him
