  I have been in Banana Tree on Jan 2009.The service was great and the food arrived quickly.We ordered Phad Thai and a Lamb curry which were both very tasty although the Phad Thai was not warm enough.They also serve fresh fruit juice! The prices are very reasonable- around £6 for main. I will definitely go there again!www.gilka.co.uk

• Good food which doesn't cost the earth.

  Excellent food - I've never failed to have a good meal here. As long as you don't mind sitting with other people (aka wagamama style) then this place is a must.

• great food in a cosy atmosphere

  love this place just round the corner from me. The food is always good and so are the staff and the ambience gives you warm cosy feeling. It also has outdoor seating for hot sunny days, but its not much of a terrace to be honest, just out on the street. I have been here a few times and will be going back.

• Good value food, great atmosphere

  It's a small space, but well utilised by long benches that serve as a communal table at which to eat. Fast and attentive service and a good value main meal package (the banana leaf maincourse consists of your choice of meat/vege dish with traditional asian accompanyments), decent wines and no hurry to boot you once you've finished eating.
