Capital eating

The Capital is one of only a small handful of places in London to hold two Michelin stars, so yes, the food here is excellent. On my last visit a seafood bisque with prawn tempura (an unannounced appetiser!) was the highlight, a truly stunning bit of cooking, smooth textures and balanced flavours.The décor has divided people, but I found it plush and cosy rather than oppressive. Service was as stellar as you might expect and overall it's worth the high price you pay. In fact, I'm probably due a return visit.
