AUTHENTIC KOREAN CUISINE IN LONDON
Specialising in BBQ (on the table) and other renowned dishes,
such as Kimchi, Bulgogi, Bibimbop, Pajon since 1990.
This is the second time I have gone to this restaurant and I will never go back.I thought the food was decent and this place was right around the corner fromthe theatre we went to, so I brought my husband and in-laws to Myung Ga fora late dinner. First of all, the staff is very aloof and bordering on rude most ofthe time. I am a Korean-Canadian, living in London and I could hear every wordthey were saying and I felt they were very tacky in talking about the customersas they were flocking around the bar area. When they bring the food, they areabrupt, rude and can't even muster a phony smile when they are cutting yourkimchi or mixing our bbq meat on the grill. We politely said we were fine grilling it ourselves (is that a crime? in fact, doesn't that mean less work forthem?) and they said nothing, walked away and then pretty much ignored usthe whole night, not offering any more drinks (we had to signal someone downto get more beer) or even bringing us the bill after having sat there for 1/2 anhour after they cleared our table. The worst part was when I went down to thebathroom and one of our waitresses ran out of a stall very angrily, slammed the door and then two other staffmembers came in and giggled away while they tried to open my stall bymistake. When I stepped out, they didn't do anything but giggle and continueto be rude. I just didn't understand this lame and unappealing behavior in arestaurant. Furthermore, two of the dishes (gyoza and korean pan cake) shouldbe avoided at all costs. It was about 6 pounds 50 for a 3 bites of each and it was a joke of a dish (called 'green bean pan cake with absolutely zero greenbeans and enough to feed a 2 year old if you're lucky). The rest of the meal was good, although expensive, but the service (or lack of) is inexcusable ata place that charges so much for their food and service. Overall, there aremany amazing Korean restaurants in London - this one should be avoidedunless you feel like spending double and being strangely under the scrutinyof the staff. Not a good experience and I would never go back.
I Went there last week: had dumplings for appetizer, chicken and beef BBQ for entree - food quality was very good. Staff was very professional. BBQ is amazing. Overall positive experience and planning to make this a regular fixture.

My friend told me this restaurant served Korean President a few years ago. Aan they have got a lot of Korean celebrities. I'd like to recommand BBQ Tenderloin beef and Stonebowl rice with chicken, dumpling and glass noodle. It was fantastic and delicious Korean food. (myungga.co.uk)
I've finally found a real authentic Korean barbeque restaurant in London. The food was very fresh and the customer service was well above decent. The place definitely has something going on. There was a bunch of pictures in the homepage and it seems like a lot of celebrities have been here. You'll definitely enjoy dining here, especially if you are looking for a Korean cuisine experience that is somewhat different from the rest yet still authentic. Suntofu, spicy Korean soft tofu soup with seafood, is the specialty here, the accompanying egg should be cracked into the broth while it's still boiling. Korean food lovers come here solely for the eats.
You know you are in a good Korean place when you can find a lot of Koreans eating there. Well, that is what I found in Nyung Ga.Here you can have a BBQ in the table, but don't worry, the waiter will cook it for you! And lots of soups and vegetable dishes too.The place might become a bit smoky with the BBQs, but all in all it is worth trying.
