  • 4 Sun terrace, london, good grub

We love this boozer in our office, its great. The new manager has made some great changes and has a great sandwich offer on too. 2 pool tables downstairs, main bar with great selection of beers on draught, great wines to chose from and the best part is a great sun terrace where if you do still smoke you can! Very busy at lunch as it is in the city, and busy at 5 - 6pm as I said, it is in the city. Great at anytime.

  • 5 My local

I love this pub. There's nowhere else quite like it. Punk legends on the walls, Joy Division on the jukebox, utterly bonkers decor, good beer, friendly prices and furniture that I am *determined* to steal for my flat. What's not to love? Smokers have a nice terrace to chuff away on, while I can have a nice pint and a burger downstairs. Pool in the basement too. Could do with a few less suits though.

  • 4 My favourite after-work pub

Experience speaks for itself--we tend to forego new venues for the tried and trusted King of Diamonds. The ground floor is non-smoking, a huge plus for our group, and we can usually (eventually) get seats even on a Friday evening. The basement has two pool tables for a friendly game, and smoking is allowed. The first floor bar is great in the summer as there is a large balcony overlooking Leather Lane. The food is slightly more upscale than traditional pub grub, but it won't break the bank. Drink prices are bog standard for London, and they don't serve anything terribly pretentious. The usual crowd tends to be mid-late 20s to late 30s in age, with suits and jeans being equally represented. According to co-workers, their burgers are great and it's definitely a good place to have lunch or dinner if you're in the area. Myself, I'm just there for the beer and the atmosphere.
