• Arch One, Bar & Grill Waterloo Station Bar

  Visited this bar one Friday night not too long ago and was very impressed. Service was great and a good night was had by all. The Arch bar is right opposite Waterloo Station so it's very convenient to get to the tube or trains afterwards.

• Arch One, Bar & Grill not sure I agree....

  I've had a couple of nights on their draft lager and a rather pleasant lunch in Arch 1 with no complaints. I've always had a rather good time. Of an evening I've managed to get a seat by the window and lined up table service which saves the weary legs of a Friday evening. Once the commuter rush is over the atmosphere is pretty chilled too. I can heartily recommend it.

• Arch One, Bar & Grill Okay - just mind the draught lager

  This is a popular bar. It's a stylish place - exactly the sort that is popular for a swift half after work. But for all its gleam, it does let itself down on a few important things: The draught lager (and there's only one to choose from) is truly awful. The roof leaks (it's built under a railway arch). The design of the place makes it very hard to get to the bar when it is busy. Other than that, it's okay. But there are plenty of better places around town.
