We engaged BLG to perform gardening works in November 2007. Jermaine, the owner, turned up a day on a Friday (a day late) to begin work, then left at 11 am because he had "forgotten" he had to attend a funeral. The following Monday a father and son team turned up to carry on where Jermaine had left off, they spent 2 days complaining about Jermaine and how he owed them money and then left site without notice, leaving my kitchen a mudbath and taking our deposit with them. The deposit was £1,400 and was paid upfront to cover materials (turf, decking etc). The materials began to arrive but had not been paid for. We dealt with a series of angry suppliers. Noone from BLG was available to explain what was going on. We have since taken Jermaine to the small claims court and are currently enforcing a county court judgement against him. Do not use this company if you want a professional job doing. We have since learned that they often relieve customers of deposits and disappear.
