    The Greene Man in Chingford is part of the Hungry Horse chain of pubs - and the name "Hungry Horse" speaks for itself! They are famous for their 17" plates and 20oz steaks!I have been to this pub more times than I can count and I always find it good value for money. If you were to have a starter, a main and a dessert you would be hard pushed to spend more than £15 per person although it is more than likely that it would fall in the £8-£12 range!Also bear in mind that with their 17" plates there usually isnnt much room for dessert!The food is mainly hearty pub grub, but they offer many healthy choices, kids choices and theme nights (such as curry night). The menu also shows you the nutrional content of the meals as well using the traffuc light system.The Greene Man also hold quiz nights and have live music at times, so all in all you can get a decent meal on the cheap and have a bit of fun at the same time!
