Dial A Flight Ltd

I just wanted to let people here know about a scam that Dial-a-flight are running at the moment. My girlfriend and I recently booked a flight to Australia for the Christmas period. We originally decided to book through dial a flight as they offered the cheapest deal of £2100 for both of us to fly with Asiana. We paid a £200 deposit, with the remaining balance of £1900 to be paid on 11th of October. Last week (mid August) dial a flight contacted us on a Wednesday to say that although the date we had agreed to pay the balance was still 7 weeks away, they needed full payment from us by that Friday, or they would put the price up to £3600 for the two tickets. This holiday was something that was already going to be very expensive for us, and we had been saving for months, but it was impossible for us to find the balance of £1900 at two days notice, seven weeks ahead of schedule. Because of this Dial-a-flight put the price up to £3600 for the two tickets. We can't afford that, and will not be able to pay. Dial-a-flight will not give us a refund of our deposit as they say it is in their terms and conditions that they can change the price at any time, and can change the due date of the balance too. As we booked and paid over the phone I don't know how we were supposed to know this, and it seems incredibly unfair that Dial a flight can effectively take your deposit under the pretence that they will get you tickets on a certain date for a certain price. They can then totally break this agreement, upping the price and moving the due date forward in such a fashion that it is impossible to pay, and because of that they can just keep your £200 deposit. In my opinion Dial-a-flight are just common low life thieves. We have tried to get our money back though Master card, but Dial a Flight are even refusing to provide us with a receipt that states anywhere on it the original balance due and the date it was to be paid, and without that receipt Master card cannot proceed. I feel that Dial a flight know how to play the system and never had any intention of delivering on their promises. All they wanted was an easy £200. If you're booking flights at the moment be very very careful of a shady little company called dial a flight. They stole our money, and no doubt they'd love to steal yours too.
