I don’t normally write online reviews and have only ever written a complaint before but I feel compelled to give praise where it is due, and that is squarely in the hands of Aspen. Norman was a fantastic teacher who acted professionally, he was informative and above all patient which is something that was absent a previous school I went to. The motorbike I used was good for the job, well maintained and felt about 50% better than the bike I had used at a previous school. Amazingly Aspen made my experience of passing the brand new DAS test enjoyable! Thanks Norman. Steve

I just finished my DAS course with Aspen and passed my exam at the first attempt, so a big thanks to Norman at Aspen. The 4 day course broken up over 2 weekends was a great way to learn as it allows you to rest and allow all of the information and techniques to set in, instead of it being rammed down your throat in a 4 day intensive course. Norman is a top instructor and really takes the time to teach you how to be a good rider and not just to pass the test, which has helped to make me feel in greater control on the road. The instructors were true professionals, dealing with pupils in a respectful manner (unlike other schools I have attended). Yes, the course is slightly more expensive than the competition, if you can call them that, but I am convinced the value for money is greater with Aspen. I will be returning in the near future for advanced training. Thanks again Norman and Aspen.

Ultimately I passed my test easily first time with no minors. I previously had 2 months experience riding a 125 so wasn't a novice but wasn't very experienced. For the lessons I was paired with a complete novice (just the 2 of us with 1 instructor) but never felt held back - on the contrary I always felt challenged but comfortable. The sense of teamwork was awesome and led to a high intensity of teaching that was always very well explained and conducted (and learned by us!) but was exhausting. That is why the 2 weekend format works so well - after a weeks break I was much better on the 500 and picked up everything really quickly. At the end of the day I can't imagine a better course or better instructor (than Norman) which is demonstrated by the hard proof of my test result and subjectively by the great way I feel and have felt during the training. I spoke to schools that wanted £500 or so for an intensive 4 day consecutive course but I am so glad I paid a bit extra for Aspen - it was well worth it. I will definitely be coming back for advanced training when I am ready. Thanks a million Aspen and Norman!

I have had some motorcycling experience before booking my DAS with Aspen. They have taken into account that I wasn't a complete novice and structured the course as such that I had great fun along the way. Could not have been better prepared for my test!! Defo worth it booking with Aspen! Thanks Ant and Norman

I have just finished my training and passed my test. Wanted to write this review as a thank you for the quality instruction i recieved at Aspen. I had previously been to 2 other schools which by comparison now seem poor. Firstly the attitude of the instructors particularly Norman is refreshing. He seems to have a real love of teaching and maintains only the highest quality in his approach to instruction. His aim was not to teach you to pass the test but to be able to ride safely and confidently for life. (A much greater challenge than passing the test). He seems to appreciate that good customer service is paramount when running a buisness which many other schools seem to forget. The equipment and bikes were in great condition adding to the enjoyment of the experience. I first learnt on old poorly maintained bikes which were horrible to ride (which i didnt know at the time). This is just another example of the pride the company takes in its work. I wound not hesitate to recommend Aspen to anyone wanting to learn to ride. It should be mentioned that the prices are a little more than some other schools but the level of training more than makes up for it. I retrospect i wish i had gone to Aspen first. Thank you Norman!!
