  • 10 First Class Service, Highly recommended

Right. Im going to keep this very simple, That is how Norman at Aspen Riders taught me to ride safely. Before starting my course, I had never ridden a geared motorbike. I choose to go with Aspen simply because of their non-pushy way of offering me a relaxed, reassuring and safe service. I signed up for a DAS course as it was very well planned out ( 2 students to 1 senior instructor) and other schools were offering 3-4 students to 1 instructor. The lessons are designed to help you become safer on the road and make you feel comfortable and aware whilst riding, simple. Their personal and friendly manner helped me to stay calm and learn faster. I had doubts about myself passing the DAS half way through the course as I suffer from nerves, but Norman instilled belief in me which helped me achieve success first time around, I can now ride any bike I want " triumph" and all leathers here I come. Thanks Norman, Nick, Anne for all your hard efforts and sticking with me even when I doubted myself  , see you on the advance course soon. I would suggest anyone thinking of learning to ride to go and have a chat face to face with the guys at Aspen Riders, you’ll feel relaxed and informed straight away as these guys know what it takes to put safe and confident riders on the road. Highly recommended Haroon

  • 10 Professional outfit, focussed on you...

All rider training schools are not the same! I just passed my DAS first time with Aspen with no minors. Aspen may not be the cheapest, but they are totally focussed on you and they really care that you not only pass the test, but that you become a good rider. Both the CBT and the DAS course are two pupils to one intsructor. This ensures that you get focussed attention from the instructor and you benefit from learning with someone else who might be making different mistakes to you. This is a good way to learn. We were trained by Norman (the owner) who was very patient and knowledgable. I can't recommend Aspen highly enough. If you are in doubt then contact Norman yourself, he will talk through your options and try to understand your level of experience and what might be best for you. Everybody wants a good deal during these tough times, but I would recommend you don't make your decision based upon price alone. You pay for quality, and that is what you get with Aspen. Thanks Norman and Anne (and Haroon!) Charlie Osborne.

  • 10 New DAS test = Fun thanks to Aspen

I don’t normally write online reviews and have only ever written a complaint before but I feel compelled to give praise where it is due, and that is squarely in the hands of Aspen. Norman was a fantastic teacher who acted professionally, he was informative and above all patient which is something that was absent a previous school I went to. The motorbike I used was good for the job, well maintained and felt about 50% better than the bike I had used at a previous school. Amazingly Aspen made my experience of passing the brand new DAS test enjoyable! Thanks Norman. Steve

  • 10 Brilliant course, thanks Aspen!

I just finished my DAS course with Aspen and passed my exam at the first attempt, so a big thanks to Norman at Aspen. The 4 day course broken up over 2 weekends was a great way to learn as it allows you to rest and allow all of the information and techniques to set in, instead of it being rammed down your throat in a 4 day intensive course. Norman is a top instructor and really takes the time to teach you how to be a good rider and not just to pass the test, which has helped to make me feel in greater control on the road. The instructors were true professionals, dealing with pupils in a respectful manner (unlike other schools I have attended). Yes, the course is slightly more expensive than the competition, if you can call them that, but I am convinced the value for money is greater with Aspen. I will be returning in the near future for advanced training. Thanks again Norman and Aspen.

  • 10 Passed with no minors!

Ultimately I passed my test easily first time with no minors. I previously had 2 months experience riding a 125 so wasn't a novice but wasn't very experienced. For the lessons I was paired with a complete novice (just the 2 of us with 1 instructor) but never felt held back - on the contrary I always felt challenged but comfortable. The sense of teamwork was awesome and led to a high intensity of teaching that was always very well explained and conducted (and learned by us!) but was exhausting. That is why the 2 weekend format works so well - after a weeks break I was much better on the 500 and picked up everything really quickly. At the end of the day I can't imagine a better course or better instructor (than Norman) which is demonstrated by the hard proof of my test result and subjectively by the great way I feel and have felt during the training. I spoke to schools that wanted £500 or so for an intensive 4 day consecutive course but I am so glad I paid a bit extra for Aspen - it was well worth it. I will definitely be coming back for advanced training when I am ready. Thanks a million Aspen and Norman!

  • 10 Great Experience

I have had some motorcycling experience before booking my DAS with Aspen. They have taken into account that I wasn't a complete novice and structured the course as such that I had great fun along the way. Could not have been better prepared for my test!! Defo worth it booking with Aspen! Thanks Ant and Norman

  • 10 Pure Class!

I have just finished my training and passed my test. Wanted to write this review as a thank you for the quality instruction i recieved at Aspen. I had previously been to 2 other schools which by comparison now seem poor. Firstly the attitude of the instructors particularly Norman is refreshing. He seems to have a real love of teaching and maintains only the highest quality in his approach to instruction. His aim was not to teach you to pass the test but to be able to ride safely and confidently for life. (A much greater challenge than passing the test). He seems to appreciate that good customer service is paramount when running a buisness which many other schools seem to forget. The equipment and bikes were in great condition adding to the enjoyment of the experience. I first learnt on old poorly maintained bikes which were horrible to ride (which i didnt know at the time). This is just another example of the pride the company takes in its work. I wound not hesitate to recommend Aspen to anyone wanting to learn to ride. It should be mentioned that the prices are a little more than some other schools but the level of training more than makes up for it. I retrospect i wish i had gone to Aspen first. Thank you Norman!!

  • 10 great course

Really enjoyed doing the DAS course a couple of weeks ago and passed the test at the first attempt. Different approach here as the course is taught in 2 parts with a few days break in between to recover and let things sink in. Definitely worked for me - i was knackered by the end of day 2 - couldn't imagine being on good form after 4 days solid. The emphasis is on teaching what good riding is all about, not just practicing for the test, and the rides out are really enjoyable in themselves. I'd definitely go back for more, just the small matter of a bike to sought out first...
