    I went to Carluccio's by the river in Putney yesterday after an afternoon wandering about, enjoying the sunshine. I've been to this Carluccio's before so thought it a good choice for some early evening fair. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who gave us a choice of seats in the light and airy restaurant. To be honest, the service did take some time but we were in no hurry. For the trouble of having to wait for our mains we were given some complimentary drinks. As usual, the food was excellent. I went for the Seafood Linguine and my friend had the spicy sausage pasta. Very good indeed. Despite the wait, this is still a very good place for a spot of lunch by the river.
