• Disappointing and Rude

  I was really looking forward to my appt here- thinking that this would be the perfect place to get my dress made. However- upon arrival (bang on time) I was met at the door and advised that it would be another 5 minutes. As she closed the door on me I was confused and said “So… Ill just wait in the bus stop?” I received no response aside from a small smile. It was a windy grey London day and after about 5 minutes I was quite cold, so I walked back and poked my head in- “Would it be alright if I sat inside, its just Im quite cold outside” The response was lots of humming and haa-ing- I said “No… Really? Ok, Ill go back out.” After another 15 minutes in the bus stop the previous customers left and she waved me up. She let me in without even a greeting and proceeded to go and chat to the neighbours and the postman. Eventually she returned and said- “So when is your wedding?” Not even a “hello,” or “sorry about that, the lady was very shy”, or any other pleasantry to make amends for the previous rudeness. Anyway- I tried on a couple dresses with virtually no assistance (I was on my own too) and then said thank you but I won’t be buying here because of the treatment I have received, She said that its a shame that I would let something like that stop me from buying there. I have been to 6 other shops, and all have been generally nice experiences- this was not. It may be that she was just having a bad day- However I am not willing to risk it. If she has such disregard for me at the very start of it all- I would hate to think how she would treat me once she’s hooked the sale. I would advise people to steer clear of this one.

• Amazing shop

  I'm really sad to read the other review on this website as i have had exactly to opposite experience. I am currently having my wedding dress made at Tantrums and Tiaras and couldn't have had a better experience. I am a size 18 and haven't had the best experiences trying to find dresses until i came here. Elaine was incredibly helpful and had really helped me make the most of my curves. My dress is almost ready and i look amazing in it. If you want to be treated like a princess at your dress fitting, this might not be the place for you. If you actually want to look like a princess on your wedding day, then give this place a try. As for her being an awful person - i have actually enjoyed her company so much that i've invited her to my wedding.
