About Us
Diplomat is the design partnership of Ashley Hall and Matthew Kavanagh.
With a passion for furniture and a background in product, lighting, retail and exhibition design, they first came to prominence with the ‘Micro Furniture’ range exhibited at 100% Design in 1999. This was quickly followed by showing at the Salone Satellite in the Milan furniture fair where they gained attention and projects from a range of Italian furniture and product manufacturers including Saporiti, Origlia, ArrMet, Bart Design, RSVP and Covo.
They have built on this success with recent furniture launches with Edra, Artifort and Zeritalia alongside consultancy projects in the USA, Holland, Australia and the UK.
Their studio is based in the East End of London where they work on client projects as well as researching and developing their own ideas to place with manufacturers.
