Space Projects Residential Covent Garden Development – 2009

Stripping the original building back to it’s shell allowed Space Project’s Studio the canvas to create this stunning, contemporary designed interior for a town house within central London. There is a level of bespoke, detail design, incorporating up to date technology to satisfy the design purist with a palette of walnut, limestone, etched glass and slate, contrasting with the opulence of deep purple fabrics and crisp white linen. The floating walnut and etched glass staircase provides the visual link from the open plan ground floor, through the first floor bedroom quarters to the second floor bedroom suite. Space Projects have been appointed by Toyota GB Plc to formulate a blueprint for their “Sustainable Retail Centres ‘” throughout the U.K. Being current brand guardians for Toyota GB Plc and having completed a successful roll out programme for 190 + sites, Space Projects are ideally placed to identify ‘eco technologies’ that will compliment and enhance the operational demands of Toyota Centres. The study will look at every component and operation of a typical Toyota Centre to identify opportunities to minimize environmental impact through reducing energy use, generating energy, saving water, rainwater harvesting, recycling.
