We visited this deli this weekend and were absolutely stunned by the rudeness of the staff and manager. The food and drinks are very good. However, we used the internet, having been assured first that the printer was working. We then sent documents to the printer and asked another member of staff (a young Polish woman with short dark hair) whether we could retrieve our printouts. She replied with a bored expression that the printer wasn't working. We had first asked a man who was washing the floor, but he couldn't speak English, shrugged and ignored us. We complained, undertandably, as we had come expressely to print documents. No one answered us. Staff members averted their eyes and exchanged heated comments in their language, laughing and obviously making fun of us. Even the owner or manager, an older man, took part in this, casting sly looks at us. Finally the first staff member returned and started the printer, telling us haughtily that we should have asked her as she deals with the internet usage. I am still very shocked at the treatment we received. I am your typical Notting Hill resident, not a tourist, and used to buy food and coffees there quite often while visiting Craven Terrace. I will never return to this deli and would not recommend it.
