• THE WORST QUALITY AND SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE

  Used Hond & Langer to cut a large piece of glass that is a shelf for a £1000 Heals Coffee Table as it had chipped slightly to the corners. Service was fair and they agreed to do the job for £40. Picked up the piece of glass that would have set me back £140 + VAT to buy new and then also have it frosted at an additional expense so at the time £40 seemed fair albiet that the glass would be a bit smaller. It looked fine, but when we got it home and placed the shelf in the Coffee table that is made completely from glass, we noticed it was a bit smaller on 1 side??? Measured it and it turned out they had made 1 side 11mm shorter than the other!!! I called right away and spoke to the chap who actually did the job. After a bit of umming and aahing, he said to bring it back in and he would rectify this mistake free of charge as this was their doing. I did so today and he wasnt in, but the owner was. How rude this man was - unbelievable, trying to justify this huge mess up, to sum things up he opened up his flap and told me to leave the shop, swaering and shouting that he is going to F... me up, etc.. and refused to do it for free??? WTF??? I went there as requested to have it sorted and was polite and friendly, the woman whom I had dealt with before knew about it and was just about to check it in and advised me the fellow was away till Monday would that be OK to collect then as its Friday today - Then MR IM THE BOSS walked in with his attitude and got agressive and swore for England at me! This was the second time I have used them and would have continued to do so if it was not for what happened. He kept pointing at a sign saying "CUSTOMERS HAVING THERE OWN GLASS DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK" I ACKNOWLEDGEDE THIS SIGN BEFORE AND THE PREVIOUS CHAP INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS JUST IN CASE IT BROKE. IT DIDNT BREAK, THEY DIDNT CUT/GRIND IT PROPERLY!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID IS ALL I CAN SAY - AND IF YOU DONT - VERY GOOD LUCK TO YOU! I WILL BE PERSUING TRADING STANDARDS COMPLAINTS ETC
