  • 5 London Dungeons

This is a very entertaining place to visit. It is educational and teaches you about London in the olden days. The exhibits are very good and it has actors jumping out of dark places trying to scare you. An experience you should not miss.

The london dungeons is great fun. We were really scared by one of the actors only seconds after paying the fee.

  • 4 Dungeons

The london dungeons is a hair raisng day out for the children, not sure if its a punishment ora treat really. The actors that are in costume are good at catching you off guard and scaring you. The dungeon shows you historical content in a fun way. Sweeney todd may want to cut your hair, ooh risky, you get to learn all about the great fire of london in 1666, there is a labrynth of the lost, experience the great plague, with smells and sights to match it is full of fun.It does get very busy and so waiting times can be longer than you would want them to be. The price is not cheap but you can often pick up half price vouchers for the dungeon, so look out for these and then is you find its not as good as you thought at least you will have paid a bit less to get in.

  • 2 Disappointed

I had looked forward to going to the London Dungeons for a while as i like history and scary things but i have to say i was quite disappointed. I didnt find the experience very scary and overall it was actually quite boring. The only time i was "scared" was when one of the 'actors' stood extremely close behind my but to be honest that was just from shock of them being there. I guess it is kind of unfortunate that the ride that is actually supposed to be good had broken down the day we went so we could not go on, therefore, we were left with a rather short trip there and left feeling disappointed. I was glad about one thing, and that was that we had buy on get one free tickets so didnt have to pay the full price which i think is over the top. Over all i think its a nice day out for the kids but dont expect too much!

  • 2 Scary? Not quite, maybe the prices

Not Worth It I have visited the London dungeons several times before they did it up and I always thought it to be quite fun. The last time I visited was after the refurbishment and I was disappointed as I feel that they have dumbed down the museum and turned it into a kind of theme park. There’s no more exhibits on torture because they have been replaced with rides. The prices are also far too high for this kind of attraction and the amount of queuing is appalling. The only entertainment comes from the actors who slip in out of character all the time especially when talking to one another.

  • 4 scary!!!!

london dungeon is a must see, if like me you had been to yorks small dungeon affair and not thought it worth the visit then think again. Its far larger as one of the first things is a massive hall with prison like cage after cage of horror scene for you to gaupe at. The effects are very impressive and life like (or rather death like!!!) , and even the smell takes you back to bygone days of old london where the plague was rife. There is a scary air to the place that makes you believe that jack the ripper could be round the next corner. It took us most of the day to look round and was worth every penny. The location is great as you are right by tower bridge and also the cafes along that stretch.

  • 4 Good experience

I've been here twice, once as a young child and again recently in early teens and really enjoyed it for different reasons both times. As a child I was really taken in by the experience, the way the staff dress up to make it as if you are there in the history of London is really well done. There's even a scary taxi ride throughout London, which I also enjoyed. Although I enjoyed this as a child too, more recently I also enjoyed learning more about jack the ripper and the great fire of london, with the plague and the rats etc. A really interesting experience. And if you're a tourist visiting London you can get 'the big three' ticket which gets you cheaper entry to the dungeons, madame tusaades and the eye.Not to be missed if you're in London.

  • 3 Not very fun

This was not the greatest idea for a day out. First of all the queue was ridiculous long. If you decide to go be prepared to wait in line for 3 hours. This is a place just made for young kids, and so I was hugely disappointed. The experience inside isn’t scary at all! On the day I went one of the two rides was not working, so I felt I missed out a bit. However the ride at the end of the tour half made up for the poor acting and predictable scares. Overall, this is a place for families with young kids.

  • 4 Wonderful for first timers to London

I have been to the Dungeon a couple of times, but the most recent trip, with an Aunt and Uncle on their first visit to London was the best. Seeing people see and smell the history of London for the first time is great. The dungeon itself is really well done. The people who work there stay in character the entire time, and clearly love scaring people of all ages. The stories they tell and the way they tell them are both interesting and thrilling. The darkness and the smell combined with the body parts, rats and torture devices can make for a nerve racking time but it is well worth it.
