  • 4 Great for lunch

Haven't been there in the evening, but for a weekday lunch it was quite nice. Very nice location (when the weather is good), good food and we didn't have any trouble with the service. The only negative I experienced was that it is a bit hard to find because it's back at the end of an alley, that's off another alley. Other than that, quite enjoyable.

  • 4 Conde Nast's Canteen

Tucked away in a courtyard, you can dine al fresco (popular with all the local skinny Conde Nast trustafarians who prefer smoking to eating). Inside, the tables are all at that unsociable angle wereby one diner can see the whole room and the other just the other diner and the wall. Menu was good value with toptable's current 50% off food deal; wine list SO expensive. I had a rather nice steak tartare, although presentation was such that it looked like a small flat pancake.Flash.

  • 3 trendy Mayfair luncheon spot

An excellent luncheon at this packed Mayfair hiddeen treasure. You will need a map. Service courteous and professional. Menu a little confusing. I ordered roast beef which I was told was only a starter portion despite the fact that the menu displayed it in the centre of the page. In the event, it was quite enough for lunch although I did supplement it with courgettes and chips. My guests enjoyed lemon sole and a tuna salad. With water and coffee, the bill was £115 - so no bargain - but then no tourists eitherand this place is located in hedge fund central. It has a nice, buzzy atmospheer and is good for business entertaining.

  • 1 Hush needs to Hush up

Oh the Hush Bar and Restaurant... It's a cool place, great look and feel, great food and an excellent location... BUT.. why is there always a BUT... Its the attitude by the staff and at the end of the day we all know its about the people, I personnally expect when Im paying £10 a drink to have a little service, a smile and to be given a little respect not to be managed like a second rate person. Bar manager seemed keen to create a situation, the service staff don't seem to understand simple requests. It got to the point over Hot Chocolates with Brandy we had to ask the 'Watching' manager to HUSH himself... Dinner was much the same, smiles from sheep in Wolfs clothing. What can I say.. i love everything about Hush but the staff need some people training... and soon.

  • 3 Stylish Mayfair Brasserie & Bar

Located in Mayfair, just off the fashionable New Bond Street, is Hush Brasserie & Bar & Restaurant. This is a stylish place which is owned by Roger Moore's son, though there was no sign of the ex-Bond actor when we were there ; )We dined at Hush one evening and really enjoyed the stylish atmosphere of the place. The brasserie is on the lower level, and there is a heated terrace. Upstairs is the bar and restaurant. Service was very efficient, though we did get the feeling that we were being rushed through our meal.We actually had a free two course meal to redeem at Hush (due to points earned via a restaurant booking website), so could only choose from a small set menu. We both ended up having the Hush Hamburger, and I must say it wasn't worth writing home about.Thankfully desserts were better - I had the Glazed Lemon Tart and my husband had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Both were really good.We really enjoyed the atmosphere at Hush and I would recommend it you are looking for a classy night out - the upstairs bar seemed like a popular place for a mid-week drink.
